Bless the Lord, o my soul

...my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever." (Psalm 30:12)

Not that anyone cares, but I have been singing this song for weeks now. Not sure why, but it's one of those things that just hasn't gone away. No complaints, it is a beautiful song of worship. I think it's made me think about the lyrics, the meaning, etc. I am learning to LIVE it. If you have iTunes or some way to download this song, I highly recommend the live version off the Passion White Flag album. Matt Redman does a great job of engaging you in true worship. (The verse above is on his website.) Oh, and turn the volume up a bit. :)

(CHORUS)
Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning
It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

(CHORUS)

You're rich in love, and You're slow to anger
Your name is great, and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find

(CHORUS)

And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forevermore!
